History
CalCo has been designing and producing high quality cutaways
since 1953. It all started when founder, Jim Calhoun, was
a sales manager at the RegO Division of the Bastian-Blessing
Company of Chicago. The company, a manufacturer of gas controls,
used cutaways to demonstrate its products. Because of other
priorities, the company's tool room couldn't make the cutaways
on a timely basis so Jim decided to make them on his own.
Eventually, he started his own cutaway business, selling his
services to former competitors in the welding industry. He
soon became the industry's major producer of cutaways. With
his son, Tom, taking over in 1980 CalCo grew to be the leader
in cutaways for all manufactured goods. Tom's footprint of
unparalleled customer service is still the cornerstone of
CalCo's corporate philosophy.
In the 50 years that CalCo has been in the cutaway business
CalCo has expanded to include many new products, including
motorized display pedestals, shipping containers, cases, printed
materials, training kiosks, web enabled training and custom
sales awards. CalCo is constantly striving to bring new, innovative
products to our clients.
